Silverton Downtown Center project is designed to bring many benefits to the community, surrounding communities and visitors. It has been proven that access to a community center provides emotional and physical health through interaction, educational opportunities and spiritual growth. There is not currently a facility able to house more than 45; leaving many unavailable to community benefits. In addition, this project will provide western and agricultural historical education and cultural preservation. Youth and college educational and agricultural activities, along with tourist opportunities which will provide strong economic development and entrepreneurial opportunities for the community. Currently, access to agricultural facilities require travel in excess of 90 miles to privately owned locations. Many of those locations provide no protection from elements for our youth, seniors and community as a whole.
