ABOUT
The Silverton Downtown Association was established in April 2019 by fifth generation agricultural producers who returned to a community they hold dear. Armed with a broad range of educational degrees ranging from communication, finance, agriculture and business, this generation returned with a vision to ensure the community benefits on multiple levels and across generations to come. Our goals include, but are not limited to, promoting growth, economic development, and extending support to local businesses and the community.

Established in 1890, Silverton—the county seat of Briscoe County—is on State Highway 86. Silverton quickly prospered as a trade center for farmers and ranchers. Due to recent growth and an insurgence of youth, the school is currently under a 10-million-dollar renovation and restoration of all facilities. Silverton is comprised of 25 businesses within the city limits, including a new Dollar General and recently refurbished Allsup’s.
